Special Camp Edition

Another day at camp! There is nothing like it! We’re excited about aiding the church in its mission of evangelism and discipleship in a unique atmosphere that the Lord has used for generations to grow His church.

WHY CAMP?

Camp moves kids out of the daily grind of life and changes the atmosphere. They can leave behind the negative influences and the static that fills their days. Free of distractions, kids can tune in to quiet moments in the Lord’s creation. The Heavens declare the glory of God every day, but camp seems to slow the moment and capture the glory with impact. We relentlessly present gospel truth and pour on big chunks of meaty Bible teaching so campers can grow strong in grace and knowledge. And it’s as fun as all get out…

Freddie’s summer schedule is loaded with youth training events, at Grace Farm and abroad. Kids are the future, but they need preparation. Camp is an incubator for nourishing them in spiritual truth!

The only thing that God can use to build tomorrow’s men and women is today’s boys and girls. God is shining the light of truth, but there are challenges standing between our kids and spiritual maturity. Students can be very productive when spiritually motivated and trained.

Students today spend over 4 hours a day watching television. On average, they spend about 2 hours on their phones and another hour playing electronic games. Throw in an hour on the computer.

How does it all add up?

Kids are spending about 8 hours a day on electronic screens. Is that good for them? What ideas and behaviors are they being taught through those addictive screens?

The gospel is so simple that a child can explain it, if they are trained and motivated properly.

The Georgia Missions Project is an event we do for training in Bible, life skills, and ministry. These students do real world work. This year they laid hardwood flooring, hung classic tin in our dining hall ceiling, painted farm equipment, finished sheetrock, and worked on all kinds of constructive projects.

Letters from Camp at Grace Farm

“I like doing quiet time in the morning and the messages taught me more about the Bible. I’m going to be baptized…”

“I learned how to trust Jesus as my Savior!”

“…the most fun I’ve had all summer.”

“I have also set goals to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, to live soberly, righteously, and godly in modern time.”

“The thing I enjoyed the most about Grace Farm are the messages and the people.”

“I loved hanging out at the creek, laughing until I cry, and eating as much as I can at the Happy Shack. This week I’ve learned how simple it is to share the gospel. I wanna thank you for everything you do for my second home, Grace Farm.”

“I trusted in Christ to save me.”

“I learned a lot more on how to study the Bible and to witness to others. I made a spiritual decision to dedicate my life to the Lord and to put into practice what I learned.”

“The preaching and teaching was so powerful.”

“…made a huge, unforgettable impact on my life.”

“…most importantly, I learned a lot about how I can share my faith boldly.”

“I trusted Christ here 7 years ago, but this week I dedicated my life to serve the Lord.”

“I decided to read the Bible more.”

“I have far more to lose by ignoring God’s call than I do by obeying Him. Because of this, I dedicated my life to whatever God has for me or wants me to do, and to loving Him above everything else. I’m excited to see what He has planned!”

“I have decided to dedicate my life to Jesus.”

“He saved me, and I am working as His Ambassador.”

“Life is short and I should make the most of it by witnessing to lost people.”

HEY, REALLY? WHY NOT BRING YOUR GROUP…TO GRACE FARM?

“For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8, 9

Grace Farm has several important projects that are ready for group-style work days. If you have a group looking for a missions project, we would love to talk with you about your group coming to Dewy Rose, Georgia and serving the Lord.
