Only The Word Can!

“For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.” – 1 Thessalonians 2:13

Freddie Coile

What is the Greatest Power in the World?

The greatest power in the universe is not the sun, a black hole, or the latest greatest nuclear weapon. It’s not Google, Facebook, or cell phones. The greatest power is the Word of God. When the Word is received, people get blessed. When the Word is rejected, people descend into a downward spiral of cursedness.

The Word of God is what can bring about what we all want: saved people who are mature, obedient, giving, faithful servers of God who are reproducing more of the same through evangelizing and discipling.

How Strong is the Word?

The Word brings the gospel, the power of God unto salvation. Without it we couldn’t know “by grace are ye saved, through faith.” It also brings assurance and security to the new believer. The Word teaches believers who they are, what they have, how to live, and it shows them future outcomes.

Nothing else can bring the power of God that gives eternal life and abundant life. What an opportunity we have, to hold forth God’s Word!

There are things we can use to make our gatherings more comfortable and fun, but only the Word can bring the truth from God that saves people and changes lives. A stage lit with colored lights and pumped with sound can make the moment impressive. Food can feed for a day. Music can enrich the soul. All these things can enhance. But the Word received brings man into fellowship with God.

Our ministries will not be measured by our magnetic personalities, the size of our buildings, or how much people laughed when we preached. So bring the Word, fresh and alive! And let them eat it like ice cream.

Inside… Freddie’s summer schedule was full of youth training events. Kids are the future, but they need preparation in the Word! Nothing enhances reception of the Word like the atmosphere of camp…

KIDS ARE THE FUTURE.

OUR JOB IS TO TRAIN THEM.

A Camp Mom says… My three oldest kids have been attending Grace Camp for years. I am not sure of anything else that they have been involved in that has had such an impact on them spiritually. It is crazy rustic and kind of old school as far as camp goes but it is so very good. Each year my kids come home so excited about their week and inspired to follow Christ. They count the days till it’s time to go again. They have made so many friends at camp over the years. Freddie has a way of talking to the kids about Jesus that really reaches them. His encouragement toward pursuing a relationship with Christ has been a powerful thing in my kids’ lives. I highly recommend Grace Camp for preteens and teens. It’s fun, it’s unplugged, it’s real.

From Facebook:

This warms my heart to see this is still going on. God bless all these kids. I know I will never forget get all the things I learned and all the fun times we had

Best News in The Word

Jesus died to pay for our sins. He rose from the dead to prove it all was true. He calls people to believe in Him for the gift of everlasting life. It cannot be earned. If never before, won’t you trust in Him now? Then you too can know that you have eternal life. The rest of your life can be a story that you and Jesus write together.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life…” – John 3:36

People everywhere need the gospel. Saved people need good Bible teaching. Therefore, we have a very important calling.

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…” – 2 Peter 3:18
